Kenneth E. Dornblaser has over 40 years of legal experience, and was one of the founding shareholders of the Firm. Ken most recently served eight years as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Laredo Petroleum, Inc., a publicly-traded oil and gas company, headquartered in Tulsa. Following his retirement from Laredo, Ken has continued his association with the Firm as Of Counsel.
Ken obtained his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1980, where he graduated Order of the Coif and served as an Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review. Prior to attending law school, he obtained a B.S. in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.
Ken’s practice with the Firm consists primarily of general corporate law, with specialization in the areas of securities law, energy resources and mergers/acquisitions (with transactions valued in excess of $1 billion dollars). Ken’s experience as General Counsel for a publicly-traded company has provided him with a practical understanding of many of the problems encountered by business clients, especially those in the public sector, as well as a wealth of knowledge to bring practical solutions to address those problems.
Ken has been chosen by his peers for inclusion as one of the Best Lawyers in America and a Super Lawyer in the areas of corporate law, securities law and mergers and acquisitions.
