Randy R. Shorb is a shareholder and one of the founders of the Firm. Randy graduated Cum Laude from Fort Hays State University, and attended law school at the Southern Methodist University School of Law. At SMU, Randy served as Tax Editor of the Southwestern Law Journal, and was honored as a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar. Randy began his practice of law as an associate at the Tulsa firm Gable & Gotwals in 1985; he was elected a Shareholder in 1991. He is past Chairman of the Tax Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association; and has served as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tulsa Chapter of the American Heart Association and as a director of other civic organizations in the community.
Randy specializes in issues relating to federal taxation of corporations and closely held entities; business transactions; mergers and acquisitions; contract negotiating and drafting, real estate acquisitions, and public finance and bond financing, and commercial finance and related transactions. Randy has served as lead counsel in numerous automobile dealership acquisitions. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion as a Super Lawyer and one of the Best Lawyers in America in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and taxation.
