Stephanie L. Barberousse is “senior counsel” with the Firm. She has over twenty years of legal experience in the areas of family and divorce law, child advocacy, insurance defense, business litigation and appellate advocacy. Prior to coming to Johnson & Jones, Ms. Barberousse served as general counsel for an oil and gas company.
Ms. Barberousse has experience in all phases of civil litigation, including first chair jury and non-jury trial experience, as well as extensive research and writing experience in state and federal courts. Ms. Barberousse has published cases in Oklahoma and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and has presented oral argument at both the state and appellate levels. As a mother of three children, Ms. Barberousse is passionate about the family services area of practice. She has represented both the parents and children in divorce, property division and custody cases and has recently completed forty hours of family divorce mediation training. Ms. Barberousse is an Oklahoma Certified Family Domestic Mediator and has completed the statutory domestic violence training required for cases involving domestic violence, stalking or harassment. Ms. Barberousse also represents Oklahoma children suspected of being abused, neglected or abandoned through Tulsa Lawyers for Children, a non-profit organization.
Ms. Barberousse is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and Texas, as well as the Tenth and Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
